On Friday we celebrated the opening of “Aries Tjhin: Very Recent Work”. This show of intricately cut paper, wild spray paint, and magical mythical imagery was well received. Aries Tjhin Artist Statement:
“I culled lost memories of stories, myth, and fairy tales that I’ve read, flickering on and off in my mind, and tried to construct my own set of narratives. The works are nonlinear with no cohesive story line. I want the viewer to come up with their own stories when viewing these pieces. I see each work as an onion with different layers and meanings hidden within each images.”
